More Curriculum

Students will examine the concepts of Equality, Freedom and Liberty and the rise of the first modern republic.  This section will try to present the idea that the United States is not an extension of Western Civilization but the birth of the first global society.

Students will examine the causes of the Civil War.  From the desire to prevent the spread of slavery and the need to have free labor spread across the United States instead of slave labor.  Many saw slavery as a horrible condition but due to the wealth generated by slavery, good people turned a blind eye to the condition of African Americans in bondage.  Over time the cruelty African American were subjected too became unbearable for the ordinary citizens to allow and war broke out.

Student will examine the cause of WWI and the consequences of the Allied victory.
